Infomatique obtained a new camera just before Christmas (Sony NEX-VG10E) but due to severe weather conditions did not get a chance to use it until this week. The VG10E is basically a camcorder with interchangeable lenses and it is equally suitable for use as a Digital Stills Camera or as a Video Camera. Many reviewers claim that it is over priced but I don’t agree. The only thing that I dislike about this camera is the terrible User Interface (almost the same as the NEX-5).

Olympus’s inaugural OM-D mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the E-M5, boasts the world’s fastest autofocus and a pretty fantastic design, but it’s also the first camera to implement a new five-axis sensor-shift image stabilization technology, that allows the lens to compensate for camera shake. The company was on hand at CP+ 2012 to demo the new sensor, which really does shift every which way to keep your photos and video still. We’ll of course need to spend some time shooting photos and video with the E-M5 before labeling the five-axis sensor a success, but from the demo we saw today, it looks pretty darn promising.

Infomatique obtained a new camcorder just before Christmas (Sony NEX-VG10E) but right to severe weather conditions did not return an opportunity to utilization it until this week. The VG10E is basically a camera with interchangeable lense and it is equally suitable for exercise as a Digital Stills Camera or as a Video Camera. Many referee averment that it is maiden priced but I gentleman’t agree. The only situation that I disfavour about this camcorder is the terrible User Interface (almost the Lapp as the NEX-5).
