How to completely erase a file on an android smartphone?

December 9, 2011 Answers No Comments

Question by John: How to completely erase a file on an android smartphone?
When you delete a file, the file is still on the flash memory until it’s overriden and can be restored with special programs
On computers there are programs to override the empty space of the hard drive so it can’t be restored.

Are there any such programs for android?

Answer by Liquid-X
A low level factory restore can do that. Don’t know what carrier you’re with but I’m with Sprint. For Sprint, open the phone pad (dial pad), press ##(your subsidy lock code goes here)# – FOR EXAMPLE, ON MY PHONE, IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS: ##734790#. A new menu opens. Scroll to EDIT and enter MSL code. Select FACTORY RESET, and it will do the work for you. This method is NOT the same as the factory reset from the in-phone setting menu. This wipes all data from your phone (ie. call timer, life timer, activation date, refurbish status, data usage, all flash memory, etc.) Menus and option are the same on all Android devices, however, codes used/punched in to access this “secret programming” menu varies (by far) from carrier to carrier.

Finding the MSL & Subsidy code is up to you. If you’re lucky, your cell phone service provider might even give it to you. Good luck.

Question by YoshQ: How tin I return my contact from my Blackberry to my Android?
The catch is that the service on the blackberry is already deactivated and switched to the Android. The phones are Blackberry Storm 9530 and Android Optimus V. I’ve heard about Outlook, Gmail, etc, but idk what to do when I have no internet on the blackberry. I’d also like to get the usage lexicon list from there, but I doubt that will be opening.

I’ve been looking into getting an android phone from verzion, but I am a REALLY heavy texter, I text about 30,000 texts per month, and I want a phone that is easy to text on and isn’t difficult to use. Right now I have an env3, and I absolutely love the keyboard layout, but the phone has so many glitches.
Also, I’m not the most careful with my phone. So I want a phone that won’t break if dropped.

Android App Developer Tips: How To Make An App On A Small Budget

October 22, 2011 Gadget Articles No Comments

There are a lot of road blocks that hinder individuals with great Android app ideas, but only a handful proves as daunting as the high price of app development. According to a modern survey, establishing an typical mobile application can value all around $ three,000 to $ 8,000, while more complicated apps can have a cost tag as significantly as $ 150,000. This cost does not consist of the android app developer fees, which is normally close to $ one hundred to $ a hundred and fifty for each hour of function. And since making an app typically takes an common of a few months, the expense of employing a developer on your own can be staggering.

If you have lots of money on the financial institution, the cost of establishing an app could not be a big issue for you. But if you are like a lot of who are just beginning out in the cell app industry, you might not have a enormous price range. You may not even have fifty percent of the budget essential to make an app. Nonetheless, most of the time only a fifty percent is all that is essential at the minute, so do not fear oneself too significantly. In truth, you can think about your absence of economic sources as an edge.

If you want to deliver your app to daily life on a really restricted price range, you need to have to assume the way a specialist Android app developer thinks. And one way seasoned app developers handle with a little budget is by outlining the demands of the project, identifying the most important ones and concentrating on that for the time being. We advocate these kinds of a approach even if you have an ample price range for the undertaking, as can boost performance by undertaking significantly less except if it is totally essential for the advancement of the venture.

One more way app builders handle to produce an app in spite of a tiny budget is by creating the app open-source. If you are unfamiliar with that this signifies, what it basically is that the app will get a GNU Manifeste License. You will maintain the copyright to your app, but anybody can obtain a duplicate of your app and use it cost-free of charge.

Get in contact with open up-resource builders if they would like to join your team to create an app with a GNU Manifeste License. This way, it will be less difficult to come across an Android app developer who will volunteer to function on your app which you can personalize afterwards on. And simply because you will only get to pay out for customization, you will be ready to conserve lots of income in developer costs.
